“LAYCHAIR was a very personal design to me, something I needed, fascinated and inspired by.” said Chai. 

When Chai first approached our i-Lab team, she was very passionate on sharing her latest work with us. It was almost like telling a story from the past to future but more importantly now.

Her conceptual recipe for the LAYCHAIR is a splash of post-modern mixed with contemporary and a heavy pour of functionality. 

“I wanted to establish a sense of liberation, coziness and very much space friendly orientated through my creation.” 

LAYCHAIR aims to challenge the core concept of the being of a chair. It supports a total of 4 variations, including formats as lounge chair, armchair, high-back chair and bench.
